How to Add Bcc Recipients in Outlook

Using the Bcc field you can send a copy of a message with the recipient's email address hidden from all other recipients. The Bcc field works just like the To and Cc fields in Outlook.

But Where is the Bcc Field?

But what's a poor Outlook user to do if she sees no Bcc field?

She makes it visible, and uses the appropriate method whether she uses Outlook 2007, or a previous version with Word or without.

Add Bcc Recipients in Outlook

To add a Bcc: recipient in Outlook:

  • Go to the Options ribbon.
  • Make sure Show Bcc is clicked.
  • Use the Bcc... field like the To... and Cc... fields.

Add Bcc Recipients in Outlook 2002 and Outlook 2003

Using Wordmail:

  • Click on the down arrow to the right of the Options button and select Bcc.

In Outlook itself:

Select View | Bcc from the menu while composing a message.

Use the Bcc... field like the To... and Cc... fields.
